The Mar Menor is only a short distance from the beach and offers an shallow warmer option for you to relax by, offering a safer and calmer environment for your children.
The Mar Menor is a small sea isolated from the Mediterranean Ocean of which benefits from shallower, warmer and calmer waters. This makes the Mar Menor at Spain ideal for practising water sports if you are a rookie. So before you decide to take to the open waters of sea then it is a good idea to iron out you skills before hand in the Mar Menor.
If you wish to participate with any Spain Water Sports options then you should enquire at a local water sport centre in or around the Spain Club vicinity. The cost can vary depending on the level you are at. If you are experienced and own the majority of the equipment needed then hiring out the odd bits and pieces will be cheap. If you need to hire out the entire equipment required for the water sport in question then the cost will go up. If you have no experience and are new to the water sport then there are classes that teach you all the skills you need. Some schools will offer packages that include the equipment and allow you to put your newly learnt skills in to practise once you have passed any of the tests put in place. Some Water sports such as boating, jet skiing and water skiing / wake boarding will require the hire of large boats or boat like equipment. Water skiing and wake boarding would also require the use of a qualified driver to take you to a safe spot for you to participate in such activities.
