Pamplona still has a medieval appearance in the older quarter which its narrow streets and small squares such as the plaza de Burgos and the plaza Consistorial, the busy streets are packed with bars and restaurants, The older town is more reserved and runs along the River Arga and is very different from the newer town which is quite flat and wide streets and gardens. Pamplona is world renowned for the famous festival from the 6th-14th of July called ‘The Sanfermines’. It is celebrated every year and is a very important event for the people of Pamplona, it starts at 8 am when all the bulls are let loose through the streets, and they are allowed to chase all the residents, some get injured and even killed.
