Holiday Transfers Services
We find that it is very often the case that a car hire works out less expensive than a pre booked taxi or coach transfer. Below you will find details of both taxi transfers and a comparative car hire booking engine that will check many car hire companies with one search. This will allow you to check the best price option for your journey.
Compare the Cheapest Car Hire Deals Online
We have spent time searching the internet for the best companies providing airport transfer by coach, taxis, shuttle, mini bus services and below are the three which we feel offer the most competitive and cheap prices and all round professional service.
Resort Hoppa:
Resort Hoppa offer very competitive private transfers which can accommodate extremely large groups; even up to 55 people on a coach. Resort Hoppa rates are based on the size of vehicle used. For example they will charge the same rate if your group is 2 or 4 persons as the car used to accommodate you will be the same vehicle.
They definitely represent the cheapest options if you are travelling in a suitably sized group; so check their booking engine to see if your party could save money. You might find them less competitive if you are travelling as a couple.
Holiday Taxis:
Holiday taxis offer a similar service to Resort Hoppa, their prices are based on the type of vehicle which is used. Again it depends on the size of your group as to how much money you may save; take a look at their booking system to see how you fare. They also offer a premier service for any one who wishes to travel in luxury. Holiday Taxis are also taking a ‘greener’ stance regarding vehicle emissions; this allows you to off set your carbon footprint for a small fee.
La Palma also known as the Green Island because of its heavy rainfall results in beautiful landscape, in the mountainous region of the North. The capital of the Island is Santa Cruz de la Palma and was a very important and busy shipbuilding centre in the 16th century. Then in 1733 a group of pirates led by a French man raided the city and burnt it to the ground.
With money from the Spanish King the island was rebuilt which is why today the city has such a colonial appearance. La Palma was created from a volcano so the beaches have black sand which is extremely hot. There are two popular sand coves and are good for swimmers as the water is crystal clear.
The North of the island has some of the best views. Palma’s local products are smoked goats, and a type of cheeses which is very popular in Spain. The goat population is over 30,000.
The local textile workers produce natural silk garments and cigars. The Cigars are made from the palms from the local trees. Palma is one of the most popular places to go for cigars and tobacco.
La Palma is ideal if you like hiking as there are lots of beautiful walks around the island. There are also camp sites based on the island, this is one of the most popular ways of staying whilst on the island.
There are plenty of tours of around the island available for those interested. This can be on a boat or on foot. Every tour will include a tour of the church which houses Palmas patron saint, this church is called Nuestla Senora, the patron saint is Our Lady of the Snows she is credited for saving many ships from sinking.
Palma has many modern hotels around as another form of staying. Los Llanos de Aridane is the second largest town on the island, there are banana plantations surrounding this town. The third largest town, Fuencaliente is where the island grows all of its grapes for the local winery which can be visited.
The South of the island is very hot and dry but very suitable for the vineyards. In the mountainous areas the rain is plentiful.
La Palma is a beautiful place and is well worth a visit. |
