Luxury Spanish Holidays at La Manga Club
Horseriding at La Manga Club27th February 2008

Holidays to La Manga Club are perfect for those on family holidays in Spain. The beauty of a luxury holiday in La Manga Club is that the break can be as active or as relaxing as you like.

Parents can relax on the beaches of the Mar Menor while children splash in the sea, golf enthusiasts can practice their driving and putting on the many golf courses at the resort while their partners try out their swing at the tennis centre.

Budding footballers can even enjoy a kick-around at the professional football academy.

It is La Manga Club's climate that makes it perfect for sports, in both the summer time and the winter time.

One particular form of activity in La Manga Club is popular with both adults and children in the spring, summer and autumn months.

Horseriding is not directly available in the La Manga Club resort although it is ideally situated five kilometres from the Rancho de la Fuente riding stables.

Holidaymakers can enjoy all kinds of horseriding adventures courtesy of the horses and staff at Rancho de la Fuente, including horseback rides to the beautiful Calblanque Natural Park.

For something truly different holidaymakers can experience rides along the breathtaking beaches of Calblanque, organised as guided rides by the stables near to La Manga Club.

"You will be amazed by the natural beauty of this unique protected environment, where you can discover the native flora and fauna of the region, far away from civilisation," La Manga Club recommends.

Even the youngest children can participate in the horseriding fun, with short pony rides available in the countryside surrounding the stables.

La Manga Spain notes that there are a variety of Andalucian and French horses available for riding while children can enjoy a more grounded experience on Shetland ponies .

As well as treks along the beach, holidaymakers can enjoy riding through the lemon groves and by the vineyards of the Spanish countryside.

Another equestrian centre, El Puntal, offers horseriding and is signposted on the road from La Manga Club to nearby village Los Belones.

Holidaymakers can choose from group lessons lasting for 45 minutes, to individual lessons of the same duration, hour-long hacking sessions and two-hour hacks including beach runs.
