Over half of Britons 'planning holidays abroad' |

More than half of British adults are hoping to take a holiday in Spain or elsewhere over the coming year, new research has revealed.
A study carried out recently by First Rate Exchange Services found that 58 per cent of people intend to jet off to warmer climes.
Londoners are the most likely to take a holiday, with 68 per cent planning to travel.
Furthermore, the survey revealed that 64 per cent of people aged between 18 and 24 are expecting to head abroad, compared to 54 per cent of 35 to 44-year-olds.

British consumers are keen to book holidays in Spain and elsewhere this year, it has been claimed.
Lucy Huxley, editor of Travel Weekly, said she has seen some "positive signs" within the holiday industry after a difficult 2009.
"Customers who may have skipped their annual holiday last year to save money appear to be keen to make sure their main break is ring-fenced in 2010," she commented.
Ms Huxley noted that family favourites such as Spain are likely to be popular this year, with many airlines and tour operators offering excellent deals for those who book early.
