Spanish holidays are 'most affordable for half-term' |

 Research by a leading UK bank has named Spanish holidays as the cheapest option for families holidaying abroad during half-term.
According to data collected by Abbey Credit Cards, Spanish holidays still represent the best value for money for families taking a break from it all, despite the pound's recent weakening against the euro.
Head of Abbey Credit cards Callum Gibson comments: "There are a number of ways to keep costs down on foreign holidays such as booking in advance to get the best deal [and] shopping around for the best price on foreign currency."
A half-term stay at a four-star establishment in Spain was shown by the research to cost an average £348 per person, compared to £439 for an equivalent hotel in Cyprus and £553 for the Algarve.

 Championship team Bristol City are being whisked away to a top secret location to get in some extra training for their play-off final with Hull.
The winners of the final will gain entry into the lucrative Barclay's Premier League, meaning every second counts for manager Gary Johnson and his boys, sportinglife.com reports.
Johnson is quoted on the club's website as saying: "It is certainly not a holiday and we will be doing plenty of training with the lads - it just gets them away to focus their minds for the final.

 Spanish golf hero Seve Ballesteros has revealed that his early life was one long golf holiday.
The legendary golf star - who was recently awarded a lifetime achievement award from Special Olympics Great Britain - revealed that school work took a back seat to golf practice in an interview with the Telegraph.
Ballesteros told the newspaper: "We played sport for 30 minutes every day in school, but I spent my spare time caddying and playing golf on the beach.
"Once I had become really involved in golf, I did not spend much time in school.

 UK royal Prince Andrew has revealed that he never leaves home for a trip abroad without his trusty golf clubs.
The Prince has a well-documented history with the sport, having formerly served as captain of the world famous Royal and Ancient Golf Club at St Andrews from 2002 to 2003 and having previously attended the US Open, according to the Times Online.
Prince Andrew tells the newspaper: "Yes, I travel with my clubs because there may be a time when I can play."
He adds that unfortunately his role as business ambassador for the UK does not allow him as much time as he would like for the sport, which is a popular feature of many Spanish holidays.

Chief executive officer of easycar.com Bill Jones tells the website that "a bit of forward planning can help make sure your road trip is stress-free", which may suggest he is type A - the Planner - along with 38 per cent of the UK population.

 Almost half of British motorists are hesitant about getting behind the wheel on foreign shores according to figures released by Norwich Union.
The most common fear among UK drivers was that they would be involved in an accident while they were abroad, with 49 per cent sharing this worry.
Other concerns included having their car break down while they were on holiday and getting to grips with rules and regulations which were unfamiliar to them.
Erik Nelson, a spokesperson for Norwich Union, commented to easier.
