Holidays in Spain 'still financially competitive' |
Holidays in Spain still make practical sense for many, which has helped the country to continue to attract visitors amid the global economic downturn.
At least this is the suggestion of the Spanish Tourism Office's UK and Europe director, who said it remains both "accessible and financially competitive" for travellers, which contributed to many refusing to cut back on their trips last year.
Ignacio Vasallo indicated that he would like to see Brits continue to go to the country over the next 12 months, which he hopes will "see increased financial confidence in the marketplace as well as a desire to explore the more undiscovered side of Spain".
His comments were made following a new study by Skyscanner, which revealed that Spain continues to be one of the most popular holiday destinations for UK residents.
