 Spain is the most popular destination for Brits hoping to take a holiday in 2010.
According to travel site Skyscanner, it was the most searched for destination by British holidaymakers during the month of January.
Popular Spanish hotspots include Malaga, Alicante, Murcia and Madrid.
"Overall, Spain remains the most popular country for British travellers, despite fears that less favourable euro exchange rates would lead to a switch to non-euro countries," the website noted.

 Families holidaying at La Manga Club this Easter will have the opportunity to take part in the new Funlandia programme.
It features a range of activities that the whole family can enjoy, with the majority of these being free for guests staying at Hotel La Manga Club Principe Felipe or Las Lomas Village.
Funlandia runs throughout Easter, the May half-term holidays, summer and the October half-term break.

Brits 'positive about 2010 holiday plans' |

 Brits are more positive about their holiday plans for the year ahead than they were in 2009, it has been revealed.
Research carried out by travel magazine Wanderlust and the Association of British Travel Agents found that 83 per cent of people are planning to take the same number of trips or more in the year ahead than they did in 2009.
When asked the same question in May 2009, 77 per cent gave the same answer.
Furthermore, the research revealed that 81 per cent intend to spend at least the same amount of money on their holidays to Spain or elsewhere.
