Manchester Airport passengers 'to be scanned'

Brits taking flights to Spain and other destinations may be interested to learn that body scanners are now in use at Manchester Airport.

Passengers travelling through Terminal 2 will be asked to use the machines at random.

Under new rules, anyone refusing a scan will not be permitted to continue on their journey.

Manchester Airport's head of customer experience Sarah Barrett said the technology will make travel safer for everyone.
