Nadal 'destined for Benidorm' |

 Tennis ace Rafa Nadal will arrive in the Spanish resort of Benidorm this week, ahead of Spain's forthcoming Davis Cup clash against Serbia.
According to the Benidorm Spotlight, Nadal is due to arrive on Friday to begin is preparations for the tournament which takes place from March 6th to 8th.
The event will take place in a specially designed stadium at Terra Mitica and, according to the newspaper, more than 14,000 tickets have been snapped up by tennis fans.
Nadal is said to be recovering from a recent knee injury and pulled out of a recent competition in Dubai in order to prepare for Benidorm.

 Budget airline Jet2 claims it has come up with an ingenious way to encourage Brits to take more holidays in Spain and other sunny destinations.
The airline is sponsoring buskers across the country to ditch their usual playlist in favour of some feel-good summer songs.
In a recent poll carried out by Jet2, almost one in five people named Good Vibrations by the Beach Boys as the song most likely to get them in the mood for a holiday.
Richard Bodin, the airline's managing director, said Jet2 wanted to do its bit and inject some holiday spirit into the British public.

Spain's beaches to get 'new sand' |

 Those taking holidays in Spain this summer can enjoy the feeling on "new" sand between their toes.
Authorities in the Costa del Sol are planning to rebuild the area's beaches with new sand in time for the Easter holidays.
According to Typically Spanish, as part of the first phase of improvements, beaches including those in Marbella, Estepona and Malaga will be covered with new sand.
A further 20 beaches in the area will also be improved before summer and the second phase is expected to be completed by June.

Art lovers flock to Marbella |

 Brits taking holidays in Spain this summer can soak up some culture at the annual Festival of International Art in Marbella.
Kicking off on June 19th, the three-day event will feature the work of artists, photographers, sculptors and designers from across Europe, Typically Spanish reports.
"Artists will display their work in individual white tents and the street festival is expected to draw artists and public from far and wide," the website said.
The festival also aims to support Marbella's artistic community and provide them with somewhere to showcase their talents.

Figures from January revealed that 89 per cent of the airline's 31,000 flights were on time last month.

Ryanair introduces new in-flight phone service |

 Those booking flights to Spain in the future may be interested to learn that Ryanair has introduced a new in-flight mobile phone service on a number of its aircraft.
The OnAir system has so far been installed on 20 planes; however, there are plans to roll the service out across Ryanair's whole fleet.
Michael O'Leary, the airline's chief executive, said this is likely to take place over the next 18 months.
"We expect customer demand for this service to grow rapidly and hope that customers of all UK mobile operators will soon be able to call or text home from 30,000 feet to tell loved ones of yet another on time Ryanair flight," he added.

 Brits are changing their travel habits to beat the credit crunch, new research has revealed.
According to research by Essential Travel, there has been a "major shift in British holiday booking patterns".
