Located at the Hotel La Manga Club Principe Felipe, the Amapola Restaurant is the perfect choice for guests who want to enjoy a memorable meal while on holiday in Spain.

The renowned eatery features a stylish dining room with an impressive show kitchen, as well as two private areas and a terrace with views over the resort's golf courses.

Guests can expect to find a range of delicious dishes on the menu, including fresh seafood from the Mar Menor, meat from the Sierra de Guardarrama, rice from Calasparra, tomatoes from Mazarron, tasty cheeses from Zamora and sobrasada from Mallorca.

La Manga fiesta 'raises thousands for charity'
Residents and guests at La Manga Club raised more than €42,000 (£38,000) at a recent fiesta, it has been revealed.

Over 60 special charity events were held throughout the month of October, including a fun run, glitzy fashion show and art exhibition.

A number of tennis, golf and cricket events were also staged throughout the fiesta.

The money will be donated to cancer charities in Britain and Spain, with beneficiaries including Cancer Research UK and Asociacion Espanola Contra el Cancer.

Discover the stunning Spanish countryside at La Manga
As well as enjoying sports and leisure activities within the resort, guests staying at La Manga Club will find plenty of things to do outside.

The resort is bordered on two sides by the spectacular Calblanque National Park, which is the ideal place for holidaymakers to enjoy a spot of jogging and hill walking.

Guests will find dozens of trails to explore, with many well-marked paths offering unrivalled views of the surrounding area.

The resort is also situated close to La Fuente Hill, which can be accessed by walking through the nearby village of Los Belones.

Young players can enhance their skills at the La Manga Club Football Academy
If you think your child could be the next David Beckham or Wayne Rooney, then you may wish to consider enrolling them in the La Manga Club Football Academy next summer.

The five-day courses are open to boys and girls of all ages and abilities.

What is more, the youngsters will have the opportunity to practise at the resort's renowned Professional Football Centre and follow in the footsteps of the top British and international players who have also trained there.

A range of techniques are covered during the coaching sessions, including passing, dribbling, shooting and turning.

Airlines increase Glasgow capacity to fill Flyglobespan gap
Glasgow Airport has secured hundreds of extra flights from carriers such as Virgin Atlantic, Thomson and Thomas Cook in order to fill the gap left by Flyglobespan, it has revealed.

A number of airlines - including Flybe and easyJet - are also offering special fares on flights for customers affected by the collapse of the Scottish company.

Holidaymakers planning to book flights to Spain may be interested to learn that Thomas Cook has already announced extra winter services to Alicante and Tenerife.

Amanda McMillian, managing director of Glasgow Airport, commented: "The majority of flyglobespan's routes were popular sunspot destinations that are already served by other well established carriers.

EasyJet extends flight rescue package
Budget airline easyJet has extended its rescue package to help stranded Flyglobespan passengers return to the UK.

The carrier is offering a special fare of £60 including taxes for holidaymakers booking flights from France, Switzerland, mainland Spain, the Balearics and Portugal back to Britain.

Passengers stranded in other areas, including Cyprus and Egypt, have been offered a special rescue fare of £80.

In addition, the airline has announced plans to offer special fares to passengers due to travel on Flyglobespan routes that directly overlap with easyJet.

Enjoy a spa circuit at La Manga Club
Holidaymakers who want to leave their everyday stresses and strains behind will find plenty of opportunities to relax at La Manga Club.

One great way of unwinding when on holiday in Spain is to indulge in a luxury spa circuit.

The Mar Menor Circuit lasts for approximately three hours and involves top to toe pampering and relaxation.

Guests are welcomed to the spa and taken on a tour of the facilities, before being treated to a soothing camomile and sea salt bath, as well as a tension-relieving neck and back massage.
