Today's under-16s travel abroad twice as much as their parents did, a new study has revealed.
Research undertaken by hotels.com found that the average 16-year-old has travelled abroad more than 14 times, compared to their parents who had visited just seven foreign destinations by the same age.
Results show that 98 per cent of under-16s have travelled within Europe, 34 per cent have been to North America and 13 per cent have taken a long-haul trip to Australia.
