La Manga Club is 'ideal for families'
Families jetting abroad over the May bank holiday weekend may wish to consider a break at La Manga Club in Murcia.

While the adults are off enjoying the resort's exceptional range of sports and leisure facilities, the little ones can make new friends at the kid's club.

La Manga caters for children of all ages – from babies to teens, with experienced staff on hand to supervise activities.

Those aged 13 and over can enjoy squash, go-karting, quad bike excursions and horse riding, while children aged between three and 12 can make the most of the resort's outdoor play area and mini theatre.

Loose Women take a holiday in Spain
Loose Women stars Carol McGiffin and Sherrie Hewson have been spotted soaking up the sunshine on a holiday in Spain.

Pictured in the Daily Mail, the bikini-clad presenters spent time sipping champagne by their hotel pool and chatting to other guests.

The pair had travelled to Spain to celebrate the opening of TV chef John-Christophe Novelli's new restaurant.

Several other celebrities also made an appearance at the launch, including former Eastenders actor Joe Swash and television presenters Angellica Bell and Michael Underwood.

'Discover Spanish Culture' in Murcia
Those taking holidays in Murcia next month will have the opportunity attend one of the city's premier cultural events.

Taking place from May 13th to 23rd, the Murcia Tres Culturas International Festival features events based on Christianity, Judaism and Islam, according to events site WhatsonWhen.

The festival promotes the mixing of cultures and visitors can expect to see everything from flamenco dancing to medieval music concerts.

Poetry recitals, book readings, American gospel concerts and choral performances will also be taking place over the ten days.

Celtic 'refreshed' after break at La Manga Club
Scottish football champs Glasgow Celtic are feeling refreshed for their final games of the season after a break at La Manga Club in Spain.

The team travelled to the resort following their recent 2-0 victory over Aberdeen, giving players the chance to relax and train in the sunshine.

La Manga certainly seems to have gained to approval of striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink who said the resort has a great range of sports and leisure facilities.

"I've been before with PSV and La Manga is a great facility and you have everything there to improve and work as a player," he added.

All-inclusive holidays 'prove popular'
All-inclusive holidays are proving particularly popular this year, as Brits look at ways to save money, it has been suggested.

Bob Atkinson, an industry extra from Travelsupermarket.com, said that while such a holiday may seem more expensive when booking, people should remember that their flights, accommodation and entertainment are included.

It is a particularly good option for those looking to stick to a tight budget on their next holiday in Spain.

Summer sale for easyJet
Those looking to arrange flight to Spain in the near future may be interested to learn that budget airline easyJet has launched a new summer seat sale.

The carrier is slashing up to 25 per cent of the cost of every route to and from the UK between June 1st and September 30th.

Holidaymakers hoping to avail from the discounted fares must make their bookings before April 28th.

Some of the destinations currently served by the airline include Alicante, Almeria, Madrid, Murcia and Malaga.

Scuba diving at La Manga Club
As well as soaking up the sunshine on the beach and exploring the countryside which surrounds La Manga Club, those holidaying at the resort can discover what the underwater world has to offer.

The Adventure Divers centre, based at Las Lomas Village, is open from April until November and offers a range of courses, from beginner lessons to dive master training.

For advanced divers, escorted trips to recommended sites around the Costa Calida area are also available.

The sheltered, non-tidal waters of the Mar Menor make it the perfect place for holidaymakers to develop their underwater skills and with average visibility ranging from 12 to 15 metres, the nearby Islas Hormigas marine reserve boasts some of the best diving in Spain.

Alicante 'perfect for fun Spanish getaway'
Those looking for some fun in the sun next month should consider a break in Alicante, it as been suggested.

According to flight search engine Skyscanner, a trip to Spain is perfect for people keen to escape the miserable weather over the May bank holiday weekend.

"Be sure to visit El Postiguet, Alicante's most popular beach, renowned for the quality of its sand, its palm tree boardwalk and its proximity to Andalucia's Old Quarter," the company noted.

Figures released by Skyscanner yesterday show that Alicante is one of the most popular destinations with Brits looking to jet off next month.

Holidays for employees are 'important'
Employees who regularly take holidays to Spain and other destinations are more productive in the workplace, it has been suggested.

According to travel site Expedia, even a short break can help to boost morale and productivity.

In a recent poll carried out by the company, 60 per cent of people said they intend to use their full holiday entitlement this year.

Jonathan Cudworth, head of product marketing at the site, said there has been an increase in the number of people travelling to close-to-home countries such as Spain.

Brits urged to protect cards while abroad
Those taking holidays in Spain have been urged to ensure they protect themselves against debit and credit card fraud while travelling.

Foreign exchange firm Caxton FX said the best way to prevent fraud is to opt for a prepaid currency card.

Figures released by trade body Apacs show there was an 11 per cent increase in fraudulent debit and credit card transactions abroad in the last year.

Commenting on the benefits of using a prepaid card, Robert Lee-Browne, chief executive at Caxton FX, said: "It is great value because you have no fees to pay for ATM use.
