Tennis holidays are being increasingly offered to British holidaymakers by tour operators, it has been reported.
According to Derek Moore, chairman of the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO), as well as tennis, golf breaks alongside canoeing, cycling, walking and sailing holidays are becoming more widely available.
The news comes after the Office of National Statistics' Social Trends 2008 survey revealed that one quarter of adults in England are currently members of a sports club.
"We don't necessarily wish to sit on a beach sunning ourselves for 14 days in the 21st century," Mr Moore commented.
