Established in the 1970's the Miramar restaurant in Cabo de Palos is considered one of the best restaurants in the village and as it sits right on the corner of the harbour it is in an enviable position overlooking the water.
Cabo del Palos is a ten minute drive from La Manga Club and has many restaurants offering locally caught fish on the menu. Miramar is a large restaurant with seating both inside and outside on the terrace and is very popular with locals and visitors for Sunday lunch either indoors or al fresco.
The paella is worth the wait while you enjoy some garlic prawns, baby squid or home made soup.
With several new restaurants opening in Los Belones, the village just outside of La Manga Club, do not forget to try the new Japanese sushi restaurant called Enso Sushi. It can be found tucked away from the main road, just off of the main square, opposite the church, so within in a 5 minute drive from La Manga Club
The menu is what you would expect from a Japanese sushi bar and is absolutely delicious. Freshly made and reasonably priced it cannot fail to impress. The Spicy tuna is great and the green tea tiramisu a must try.
Los Belones is expanding constantly and it is great to see so many new businesses opening after a difficult few years. Just outside of La Manga Club, Los Belones is a few minutes drive away and makes for a nice change of scene and visit to a local Spanish village.
Another new restaurant has opened in the Pyramid complex in Los Belones and it is great to see a typical Spanish taperia represented there. Open for a drink and tapa or dinner this new restaurant should do well given that its daily menu offers great value at 12 euros per person.
If your favourite is Chinese food then no doubt you would have tried Casa Lee in Los Belones, just outside La Manga Club. It was located on the main road in Los Belones but on the edge of town, well known to the locals and La Manga Club residents and visitors but not in a prime position.
We are pleased to say that they have now moved to a great location within the much newer building that you see as you enter Los Belones from La Manga Club on the right. The Pyramid commercial centre is the attractive unusual style building which also houses a pizza restaurant, The Run and a new Spanish tapas bar and drinks bar.
After the winter months at La Manga Club two of the firm favourite restaurants are preparing to open their doors again for the coming season on Good Friday.
Sol y Sombre is a great place for a light lunch, cool drink or ice-cream and La Cala, down on beautiful private beach cove at La Manga Club, famous for its fabulous fresh fish dishes they are preparing to tempt you again. There is nowhere more special than La Cala, dining in the moonlight whilst the waves lap below, it is quite special.
Remember that La Cala and the private beach is not accessible by foot so if you have hired a car then you can drive or alternatively you can take a taxi or La Manga Club has a courtesy bus available for those who have made restaurant reservations.
The fabulous bodega in Los Belones close to La Manga Club is no more, a little sad as it always a great place to shop for wine however it has been transformed and the exterior of the buildings character has been retained with some barrels and stools placed outside so you can stop for a coffee or beer during the day with a drop by window. The biggest transformation is the inside which has been turned into a beautiful restaurant which is now called Pablo Guardiolas.
You will find Guardiolas on your left as you enter Los Belones, just before Via Romana, so parking is not a problem.
Pablo Guardiola, who can be seen regularly greeting his customers and friends, and Juani in the kitchen are the fourth generation of the same family who have been running their very successful restaurant in Los Nietos since 1934.
Canellas restaurant in La Manga This restaurant is the jewel in the crown at La Manga Club It is hidden away in the lemon groves between the village if Los Belones and La Manga Club The road runs from Los Belones to Portman and there is a small sign in the middle of the lemon groves that can easily be missed. canellas is worth the effort to find this restaurant and the setting close to the private riding stables is beautiful and the selection of food and dishes served make it a meal to remember.
