La Manga Club wins further prestigious golf award

We are delighted to announce that La Manga Club has won, for the fourth year running, the prestigious Todayís Golfer Travel Award for the best golf resort in Spain. This comes as no surprise to us who are always singing the praises of our wonderful resort but what an achievement for all those who are involved in the day to day running of La Manga Club golf facilities.

This award follows hot on the heels of winning the 1st World Golf Awards awarded for being Spains leading golf complex and also the South championship course being voted the second best golf course in Spain beaten only by the 1997 Ryder cup course at Valderrama.

Winning this prestigious award four times in a row shows how popular La Manga Club remains and gives everyone good reason to strive to continue to give the best possible service and facilities.

The new golf academy at La Manga Club

It is hard to imagine how the world famous golf courses and facilities at La Manga Club could be improved The three courses, the South championship course, the North and West are maintained to such an incredibly high standard and popular with visitors and owners at La Manga Club throughout the year due to its sunny all year round climate.

La Manga Club is proud to announce the opening of a brand new golf academy which has been founded by the worlds number one golf instructor and coach to countless PGA Tour, European Tour, LPGA Tour and Champions Tour players, David Leadbetter. There are other Leadbetter academies around the world and they have been and are praised constantly for their innovative and creative teaching techniques.

At La Manga Club, the experienced Leadbetter coaches are led by an Academy Director, currently Laurence Brotheridge.

With a broad range of flight options from the UK to Alicante and Murcia (San Javier) airport you will have a good choice of cheap airlines such as Ryanair, BMI Baby, Jet2 and easyJet to get you there in relative comfort at a price that will not break the bank. Alternatively, you could opt to take the scenic route and cross the channel and drive to the resort in your car. If you choose to take your car, depending on the number of passengers you are accommodating, taking your golf clubs should not be an issue, but with some of the cheap flight operators, baggage and golf clubs can start to add up if you are not careful.
