Early bird packages for La Manga holidays 31st October 2008
Families still have plenty of time to take advantage of early bird deals for holidays in La Manga in 2009.

The deadline for securing one of the two packages on offer is February 28th 2009, affording the opportunity to book a break as part of an extra-special Christmas gift.

Interested families can sign up for a stay at the Hyatt Regency La Manga hotel or at the nearby Las Lomas Village.

Available for a minimum stay length of five days, the breaks come with a free day for those who book seven.

Overseas weddings offer 'great value' 31st October 2008
Getting married overseas is a great way to reduce wedding costs and bring family and friends together for longer, according to one travel expert.

Travel expert Shona Swain said that overseas weddings were a "better bet" than UK weddings and offered much better value for money.

The average UK wedding currently costs £20,273, with overseas weddings often available for a fraction of the cost.

"With two bad summers in a row; if couples do want to secure great weather for their special day getting married overseas proves a better bet," she explained.

The Majority of British travellers do not gain weight when on holiday, a new poll has revealed.

Research carried out by Holiday Extras found that 51 per cent of Britons return from their holidays at the same weight, while 11 per cent of people actually lose weight while abroad.

Commenting on the findings, Mike Whiting, managing editor at Holiday Extras, said: "It seems that the modern outlook on healthy eating is being extending into people's travels. Gone are the days when travellers would indulge during their time away and instead they are maintaining a balanced diet that can only prove beneficial to their health.
