As well as swimming in the many pools at La Manga Club, families staying at the resort can also take a dip in Spain's famous Mar Menor - or Little Sea as it is also known.
Europe's largest saltwater lagoon, the Mar Menor measures 175 square kilometres and attracts watersports enthusiasts from all over the world.
The waters are calm and shallow, which makes it an excellent option for those trying their hand at sailing and scuba diving for the first time.
Furthermore, the lagoon enjoys warmer temperatures than the surrounding sea and is no more than seven metres deep in any place.

Some of sport's top executives are set to gather at La Manga Club next March, it has been announced.
The resort has been selected to host the prestigious Leaders in Football conference, which brings together representatives from Europe's top clubs.
Executives from teams including Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Celtic and Rangers will all be attending the event.
Top brass from the FA, UEFA and FIFA are also set to spend three days networking and attending meetings at La Manga Club.
