With most golf courses in the UK currently covered in a thick blanket of snow, it could be time to pack up your clubs and book a holiday to Spain.

La Manga Club is home to three championship golf courses and is renowned for the quality of its sports and leisure facilities.

The resort has previously hosted a number of international tournaments, including the Spanish PGA Championships, Senior Spanish Open and Spanish Juniot Championships.

La Manga fiesta 'raises thousands for charity' 21st December 2009
Residents and guests at La Manga Club raised more than €42,000 (£38,000) at a recent fiesta, it has been revealed.

Over 60 special charity events were held throughout the month of October, including a fun run, glitzy fashion show and art exhibition.

A number of tennis, golf and cricket events were also staged throughout the fiesta.

The money will be donated to cancer charities in Britain and Spain, with beneficiaries including Cancer Research UK and Asociacion Espanola Contra el Cancer.

Discover the stunning Spanish countryside at La Manga 21st December 2009
