Travellers 'always find time' for golf holiday |

 One travel writer has suggested that nothing gets in the way of the golf holidays he enjoys with one of his friends.
The Bloke wrote in his Yorkshire Evening Post blog that they have been heading away to play the game annually for a number of years and suggested it is unlikely something will disrupt their routine now.
"We may be married - not to each other I hasten to add - but we still manage to make time for our annual golf trip," he remarked.
His friend, Martin, is soon going to be a dad and in order to avoid cancelling the traditional golfing holiday, they have arranged to meet up early this year and have it before the baby is born.

Adventure Divers at La Manga from April 1st |

 Scuba instruction and guided dive specialist Adventure Divers will be at La Manga Club in Murcia, Spain from April 1st, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the wonders of underwater activities during the summer season.
Information disclosed in the official La Manga blog this week revealed that the team will be running a number of special offers to attract would-be divers in the two-month period to June, including a 'buy one, get another half price' deal on courses for beginners.
Free t-shirts will also be given out to those booking the Open Water course and the children's Bubblemakers course is to be made available with a ten per cent discount.

La Manga Club to host Twenty20 cricket tournament |

 La Manga Club in Murcia, Spain will play host to next month's 3rd Madrid CC Twenty20 Solidarity Cricket Tournament, according to an official announcement by Madrid Cricket Club.
The organisation said that it was "proud" this week to confirm that the event will be happening at the venue, with two of the luxury holiday resort's grounds to be used during the competition.
Taking place between April 22nd and 26th, the event will see a total of eight teams battle it out to be crowned the overall winners and six twenty20 matches will be held each day.
La Manga offers two artificial pitches for playing cricket, in addition to four full-length practice nets.

Janne Mommo hits hole-in-one at La Manga Club |

 Janne Mommo of Finland got off to a flying start at the season opener of the Ecco Tour on La Manga Club's award-winning golf course.
The player hit a hole-in-one during the first round of the competition, finishing the day as the joint leader in the clubhouse with a five-under-par 68.
Mommo was tied for first place with Peter Bocian (Sweden), Marius Thorp (Norway) and Thomas Norret (Denmark), who was 18th in the Tour's order of merit in its last update.
Play has already resumed on day two, with Norret leading the pack at 17:36 local time by two shots at eight under.

 If Fabio Capello is looking for a place to visit this year, the luxury holiday resort of La Manga Club might have everything he needs.
The destination has proven popular with England managers down the years, with Glenn Hoddle using it as the training camp for his squad ahead of the 1998 Fifa World Cup.
And now it has been suggested that soccer is not the only sport attracting Capello's attention, with Mirror Football reporting this week that he is a huge fan of golf.
La Manga has a strong reputation as a golfing holiday destination, being voted the best resort in Europe several times and having hosted numerous major competitions, such as the Spanish PGA Championships and the Spanish Open.

La Manga Club gives England women "perfect boost" |

 The England under-19 women's football team's stay at La Manga Club last week has been described as giving them the "perfect boost" ahead of the elite qualifying round for this year's European Championship.
According to the Football Association's official website, their performance in the La Manga Ten Nation Tournament has left them in good stead for the competition, in which they are the reigning title holders.
England won all three of their matches in Murcia, defeating Denmark and Finland before rounding off the week with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Germany.
And they will next head off to Sweden to take on the losing finalists from the last European Championship in the second qualifying round of the 2009-10 tournament.

La Manga Club attracts top U-19 women's footballers |

 La Manga Club played host to some of the best teams in under-19 women's football last week, with a number of the sport's European giants training at the famous venue.
Germany took on old rivals England on the resort's practice pitches, while Holland, Italy, France, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark also travelled to the Murcia destination to play some matches.
Between them, the teams represent all eight of the countries to reach the quarter-finals of the 2009 Uefa Women's Championship at senior level and together with the USA - who were also in attendance - three of the semi-finalists at the 2007 Fifa Women's World Cup.
La Manga Club is world-renowned for its football training facilities and has attracted some of the biggest domestic and international sides to its pitches over the years.
