Don't be hasty with car hire, says IAM 06th June 2008
While car hire in La Manga is a relatively straightforward process, drivers on Spanish holidays should still make sure they are methodical if they are to get the best deal for them.

The Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) recommends that motorists on holiday in Spain should take a few measures to be on the safe side - such as checking their level of car insurance cover.

"The key thing is good preparation," insisted Neil Greig, director of the IAM's motoring trust.

Too many people just want to get in their hire car and drive away as soon as possible.

Insurance tips before heading on Spanish holiday 05th June 2008
Holidaymakers who are heading off abroad this summer should ensure that they have taken the right insurance before they leave, according to the Guardian.

It could cost travellers who become ill while abroad in the range of £35,000 to be repatriated by air ambulance if they are not properly insured according to the Association of British Insurers.

The age of the person taking out the policy can play a part in the price of the policy, as can any pre-existing medical conditions or a penchant for taking part in extreme sports.

Stuart Castledine, managing director of Intune, commented: "Customers over 85 are eight times more likely to make a travel insurance claim than customers 35 and under - and those over 65 are three times more likely.

With roots stretching back to Celt-Iberian times, the corrida - or fight - takes place between three toreros and two bulls.

The Welsh in particular do not cite cost as their prime consideration, it has been revealed by research conducted by YouGov.

Around 58 per cent of tourists say that things such as the weather and culture are more important than the pressure on their wallets.

Roger Masterson, founder of the travel company, Celtic Castles, commented: "The travel market is more competitive than ever and this should be an incentive for travel businesses to up their game without compromising on quality.
