Three-quarters 'want to learn a new skill' on holiday |
30th April 2009 |
|
|
|
Lessons from a professional golfer or a tennis coach could be high on the agenda for many London-based holidaymakers, it has been suggested.
A survey found that nearly three-quarters (73 per cent) of adults in the English capital would like to pick up a new skill while away.
Meanwhile, 52 per cent of Britons said in the YouGov and VisitScotland poll that they would like to take part in a relaxing activity ruing their break.
Perhaps golf holidays in Spain could be a good option for these people, as the year-round sunshine makes it a perfect destination for those who enjoy a gentle day on the fairways.

La Manga trip was key to promotion push, says Wolves hero |
29th April 2009 |
|
|
|
A trip to La Manga was one of the key moments in the season for newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers, believes their hero of the hour.
Kyel Reid, who came off the bench at the weekend to score a late equaliser and seal Wolves' place at the top of the Championship, said a break at the resort recharged the squad's batteries at exactly the right time.
The side had fallen into something of a rut but their time in the Murcia sunshine seemed to the trick, with a run of seven wins, three draws and two defeats coming afterwards.
"We hit a rough patch but the week we had at La Manga helped us and we needed that team spirit back," the 21-year-old, who is on loan from West Ham, told the Express and Star.

Despite what their rivals may think, Celtic's footballers were far from holidaying at La Manga Club when they visited the resort recently.
Instead, the team were busy making use of the first-class training facilities - as well as taking advantage of the year-round climate that the Murcia region affords.
The break was particularly useful for defender Stephen McManus, who used the time in the Spanish sun to continue building up his fitness as he fights back from injury.
"It certainly wasn't a holiday.
