Holidays are 'top' priority

Research carried out by PricewaterhouseCoopers found that despite the gloomy economic outlook, holidays are still viewed as an essential expense.

Holidays were named as the second most important expenditure, after credit cards and loan repayments.

Of those surveyed, 16 per cent said that holidays were their main priority.
