Located in Murcia region of Spain, La Manga Club enjoys year-round sunshine and is easily accessible for holidaymakers travelling from the UK.
The resort is accessible for those flying into Murcia, Alicante and Malaga Airport, although the closest of these is Murcia's San Javier Airport, which is just a 20-minute drive away.
Alicante's El Altet is 120 kilometres from the resort and a one-hour drive away.
Flying to Spain has never been cheaper and with the economic downturn to contend with, budget airlines are slashing their fares to some of the lowest levels seen in years. In fact, there has never been a better time to find a cheap flight to Spain from the UK.
Some of the carriers offering flights between the UK and Murcia include Ryanair, Monarch, Jet2, Flybe and easyJet. Fares are often available from as little as £30, meaning that even a weekend break in Spain is now an economically viable option for many people. Flying time from London is around two hours and 35 minutes.
Holidaymakers arriving at Murcia Airport can arrange their transfers in advance via La Manga Club's website, ensuring that travel time is kept to a minimum.
Taxis are also available from outside the airport arrival hall and a one-way fare costing approximately 50 euros.
Alicante Airport is equally well-served and holidaymakers can fly from the UK with airlines including Iberia, easyJet, Monarch, bmibaby and Thompsonfly. Flying time is approximately two hours and 45 minutes; however, transfer time to La Manga Club takes slightly longer than from Murcia Airport. Guests can transfers from Alicante to take around an hour, with a taxi costing 100 euros.
Guests can also make life easier by arranging their transfers to and from Alicante in advance via La Manga Club's website.
A recent poll carried out by foreign exchange firm Travelex found that despite the strength of the euro, 45 per cent of people are planning to holiday within the eurozone this year. With the availability of cheap flights to destinations such as Spain, holidaymakers are still likely to make savings, despite currency fluctuations.
Speaking earlier this month, independent travel expert Simon Calder said that holidays in Spain would always be popular and continue to represent excellent value for money for British holidaymakers. With many tour operators and airlines slashing their prices this year there are some excellent deals to be had.
"Spain is going to retain its position as our absolute favourite country because the pound has been down in relation to the euro; it doesn't mean we are going to turn our back to it. Spain is fantastic value for money whether you are in the Balearic Islands or Costas, you are going to get some very good deals this summer," Mr Calder commented.
A recent report by the Post Office also revealed that Spain is still the cheapest destination within the eurozone, offering holidaymakers greater value for money than similar destinations such as France, Greece and Cyprus.
Research found that a cup of coffee in Spain typically costs around £1.14, compared to £1.53 in Bulgaria and £1.61 in Croatia.
Furthermore, Andrew Spice of Post Office Travel Services said Brits can make their holidays in Spain even cheaper by purchasing commission-free currency before leaving and steering clear of fee-charging ATM machines.
