Tennis holidays at La Manga Club

Located in south-east Spain, in the popular region of Murcia, La Manga Club basks in sunshine for more than 300 days every year – which could make it the perfect destination for a tennis holiday.

Sprawling over 1,400 acres, the resort is home to a five-star hotel, a wide selection of holiday apartments and more than 20 restaurants and bars.

Guests taking a tennis holiday at La Manga Club will be spoilt for choice, with 28 multi-surface courts available, including four AstroTurf courts and four hard courts. In addition, there are two paddle tennis areas and a squash court.

The resort's exceptional facilities are complemented by its state-of-the-art Tennis Academy, which boasts the very latest in digital coaching technology and provides tuition for players of all ages and abilities.

La Manga's Tennis Academy is staffed by a team of experienced and qualified professionals who use the latest video analysis systems.

Courses at the academy are supervised by the director of coaching Juan Ros, who has previously worked with tennis stars such as Anna Lena Groenefeld, Conchita Martinez and Alina Jidkova.

Whether you are an aspiring professional or holding a racquet for the first time, the Tennis Academy can provide you with all the help you need to improve your game.

La Manga offers a series of five-day courses for adults throughout the year, as well as intensive weekend courses. The programmes run from Monday to Friday and include on-court coaching with qualified professionals, as well as optional extras such as detailed stroke analysis and match play tactics.

In addition, those taking part in courses are also entitled to a complimentary pass to use the tennis centre gym.

La Manga also runs several Pro Academy courses for players who are already at an advanced standard and are looking to improve their game further. The Pro Academy operates weekly during the summer and school holidays.

For those who prefer to be tutored on a one-to-one basis, private coaching is available at the resort, with La Manga's resident professionals able to design tailor-made coaching programmes adapted to the specific needs of guests.

As well as tennis, there are dozens of other activities on offer. La Manga is home to three championship golf courses, as well as a Golf Academy, where guests can enjoy professional tuition and have their game analysed using the latest technology.

Holidaymakers staying at La Manga can also take part in sports such as football, tennis, cricket and rugby.

Water sports activities are also on offer in the nearby Mar Menor, where guests can try their hand at sailing, scuba diving, jet skiing and windsurfing.
