Tennis holiday for tennis ace?

26th March 2008
Perhaps tennis star Maria Sharapova will be considering a tennis break in Spain after she was beaten in the Pacific Life Opens this month.

Eatsleepsport reports that the tennis ace has claimed she needs a holiday after being beaten in the semi-final by Svetlana Kuznetsova on Friday March 21st.

The challenger beat Sharapova 6-3 5-7 6-2 in Indian Wells and the star who has been known to play tennis in Spain on Spanish holidays is now looking to recuperate.

"I'm playing a lot of tennis, been flying a lot. It's pretty much been non-stop with all the tournaments I've been playing and Fed Cup as well. It takes a toll on your body and your mind as well," Eatsleepsport quoted the former Wimbledon-winner as saying.

Meanwhile, Kuznetsova remarked that she "really took" the victory away from Sharapova.

The up and coming player noted that she played particularly well in the third set.
