Tennis coaching for teens at La Manga Club

Going on holiday with teens can be a real challenge, but not at La Manga Club, with a whole host of sporting opportunities on offer, no matter what age, or level of fitness they are, you will find that your teenagers will enjoy themselves as much as you do. For teens that are into tennis, La Manga really is the perfect choice. With 28 tennis courts and a social tennis culture thats hard to beat, a teen tennis star will soon find a group of new friends who are equally into the sport as well as improving their game. It is this social side of tennis at La Manga that makes the whole experience so special.

So, if you are thinking of a break but worrying that your teens will have tantrums because they dont have enough to occupy their time, look no further. Let them get completely ensconced in the clay, hard and artificial grass courts at La Manga just for fun or to seriously take their game to a new level. On Sundays the tennis club hosts a welcome day where all newcomers can get together and pair themselves off for a friendly match or two, or to get involved in a social tournament. Thereafter there is the personal coaching options or the academies.

The Junior Tennis Academy at La Manga is designed for players of all levels to really get into the spirit of the game and to improve their skills whilst having fun. Split into three age groups: 12 and under, 15 and under and 19 and under, there’s no fear that your teens will wind up with people who are the wrong age group for them. Add to this the shared interest of the game and they’ll soon be heading off to the pool or the café with their newfound friends, leaving you to enjoy your holiday in the knowledge that they’re happy, having fun and doing what they want to be doing. In fact, you might even find yourself having to book time with them to make sure you can spend at least some time together on holidays!

The Junior academy typically runs over a 5 day period (Monday to Friday) and involves 2 hours coaching per day. Alternatively, if your son or daughter is particularly advanced in their game, you might consider enrolling them in the Pro Academy where they can enjoy a choice of 15 or 25 hours coaching per week. Add to this, the opportunity to avail of one to one coaching and play friendly matches outside of the academy timetable and they’ll soon find themselves on Centre Court!

For teens that are keen on tennis but also enjoy other sports, there’s the option to combine the tennis academy with either football or cricket. With these academy options, they get the chance to advance in two sports whilst on holiday. All of that said, no matter which option you choose, you’ll be sure your teen or teens will have an immediate circle of friends with shared interests for their holiday, making it a memorable opportunity for all.
