Taking a restaurant tour at La Manga Club

If you are planning a stay at La Manga Club and love food, you have chosen absolutely the right place, at La Manga Club, you can spend a week or even a fortnight enjoying fabulous food and drink without even needing to spend a minute off site. What you will need to do is plan your eating, so you can plan your packing accordingly. If you plan to do a mixture of gourmet and casual, you will need to pack at least one outfit that makes you feel like a million dollars. It need not be over smart, just a bit stylish, to help you get in the mood, and feel your best.

So, lets make some assumptions lets assume you are spending a week at La Manga Club resort. Lets say youíve chosen self-catering accommodation, but have no intention whatsoever of cooking. How might you week pan out.

Hereís just an idea to get you in the spirit of the resort:

Night 1 at La Manga. Youíve been travelling all day and have grazed as you go, so arenít really all that hungry, but you do fancy a nice bottle of wine, a seat on a terrace with a view and something delicious, but not copious to eat. La Bodega is calling you tonight! At La Bodega, you can avail of their terrace, order a chilled bottle of white or a nice bottle of red and select as many or as few tapas as your appetite requires.

Night 2. This morning you played a round of golf; then took some rays by the pool, followed by a few laps. Thanks to all this fresh air, youíre quite peckish this evening and fancy something meaty. Head off to Uncle Samís American Restaurant, where youíll get some 50s nostalgia and great American style burgers, ribs and chicken. Youíre now beginning to realise that La Manga really is simply delicious.

Night 3. Youíre really getting into the swing of La Manga and are starting to feel like you belong here. A round of golf, a game of tennis and a massage at the spa has left you fancying getting your glad rags on and heading off to Amapola. At Amapola, youíll be in no doubt that youíre living the 5-star lifestyle and are likely to have some of the best Mediterranean food youíve tasted in a long time.

Night 4. Today you head to the La Manga beach to lie on a sun lounger, catch some rays and maybe have a swim. You spot La Cala tucked up on the cliffside; you smell the delightful aromas it produces at lunchtime and decide to head there for a nice fish or seafood dish tonight.

Night 5. Youíre accustomed to having a regular curry at home and are now starting to miss it, so you decide to satisfy your taste buds with a trip to Dharma tonight. Once you get there youíre really taken by the outdoor terrace and decide to have a drink or two there before ordering some delicious Indian fayre.

Night 6. At this point in the week youíre starting to feel your waistband strain a little, irrespective of all the golf and tennis youíre playing so decide to head to Luigis to share a pizza, some salad and a bottle of wine between two. Even though you donít eat copious amounts, itís a really nice meal.

Night 7. Sadly itís your last night at La Manga and youíre heading home tomorrow. There are two main resort restaurants left to try, Andale and AsiaÖwhy not toss a coin and leave the decision entirely to lady luck?
