 Shopaholics arriving at La Manga Club might like to head to the neighbouring shops in Malaga, particularly as the sales season is now entering full swing.
The Junta de Andalucia had brought the beginning of the January sales period forward from the traditional date to January 2nd, but some of the big stores stuck to their usual plans, Sur reports.
These retailers cut the ribbon on their big sales on January 7th - the day after Three Kings Day.
Thousands of bargain hunters descended on the big name shops, including Massimo Dutti, Carrefour, Zara and El Corte Ingles.
One shopper told the news provider: "I wanted to be one of the people running through the Corte Ingles when they open the doors like I'd seen on the television ... It was crazy, the escalators could hardly cope with the stampede."
According to Andalucia.com, Malaga offers shoppers "a fascinating mix of the old and new", with international names flanked by more traditional stores.
