La Manga Club set in the Murcian hills of Spain consists of villas and apartments on acres of beautiful landscaped gardens. Many properties have their own private swimming pool and the community properties have a minimum of one or more shared pools.
Not to be forgotten is the lovely private beach cove, known as La Cala which means cove in Spanish, which La Manga Club has and which lies at the edge of the resort on the beautiful Mediterranean sea. It is a small private cove which is accessed through the mountains and therefore due to the steepness of the mountains you would need to drive down to the sandy beach. Pedestrian access is not advisable with very difficult terrain to contend with.
There is a great fish restaurant, also called La Cala, which is situated right in the beach. Nestled on the rocks overlooking the sea, La Cala serves fine fish and seafood with spectacular Mediterranean views. This is open seasonally usually opening April to October and when it is open the resort operate a courtesy bus down to the beach. It is open for lunch and for dinner in July and August. Nothing more special than great food in a beautiful romantic setting.
The private beach at La Manga Club is not very large but very pretty and worth a drive down. Within a ten minute drive of La Manga Club you can find several more public sandy beaches which are very clean and accessible so do drive out and spend a bucket and spade day during your stay at La Manga Club.
