One place where players will find an excellent range of facilities is La Serena Golf Resort, which is home to a par-72 18-hole course.

Located in Los Alcazares - beside Spain's famous Mar Menor lagoon – it was designed by former Ryder Cup player and World Cup champion Manuel Pinero and has something to offer player of all abilities.

It is built around the 500-year-old Torre del Rame, which was originally constructed to keep watch for the pirates who once hid nearby.

The course, which is mostly flat, features a number of water hazards, bunkers and desert areas, making it the perfect place to hone your skills and enjoy a pleasant game of golf during your holiday in Spain.

Players that are keen to brush up on their golfing skills can do so by enlisting professional help. Private tuition is on offer at the resort, in addition to group lessons and junior sessions, with tutors catering for players of all ages and abilities.

Furthermore, visitors booking a tee time at La Serena Resort are usually able to make use of the complex's practice facilities, including the driving range, putting green and chipping greens.

La Serena Golf Resort is also home to a large clubhouse, where players will find an extensive range of facilities. Equipment can be hired, including clubs, buggies and trolleys, while tees and balls can be purchased from the pro shop.

In addition, the building is home to a number of dressing rooms with showers and lockers, as well as a large bar where visitors can enjoy a post-game drink while taking in the views of the stunning Mar Menor.

Another place where holidaymakers can enjoy a great round of golf during a holiday in Spain is La Manga Club.

Renowned for the quality of its sports and leisure facilities, it has played host to a number of high-profile tournaments and events over the years, including the Spanish Open, Spanish PGA Championships, Spanish Junior Championships, Ladies' Spanish Open and Senior Spanish Open.

The resort boasts three championship golf courses, each with its own individual style and terrain. In addition, there are a range of comprehensive practice facilities, including an 80-bay driving range, two chipping greens, a large putting green and a practice bunker.

La Manga Club is the perfect destination for people who want to hone their golf skills and guests will find a number of intensive courses on offer.
