This March in Gandia south of Valencia, those on Spanish holidays are set to celebrate in style for the fiesta of Las Fallas.
What's On When reports that the four-day festival takes place in March in celebration of patron saint, San Jose.
The event's website reports that over 4,000 participants are set to take part in the event which will see 20 paper mache heads, or Fallas, of celebrities and politicians promenaded through the streets.
Those on Spanish holidays will then be able to watch the ceremonial burning of the effigies in a bonfire on the last evening of the fiesta.
The Feast of Saint Joseph is a major celebration in Spain and the 20 Fallas are prepared in the preceding 12 months.
Holidaymakers can also expect fireworks and street entertainment, the event's website notes.
