Ex-England and Arsenal footballer Ian Wright would not be disappointed with a golf holiday in Europe, it has been revealed.

Talking to the Telegraph, the Match of the Day presenter described that his perfect holiday would feature golf and sunshine - two things that can be found on a holiday at La Manga Club.

"Wrighty" also revealed that he is a creature of habit when it comes to holidays, preferring to frequent the same area again and again.

He added that he was also sentimental about possessions, such as a battered old straw hat that he takes everywhere.

Cahoot recently reported that 13 per cent of Brits buy sombrero hats and stuffed straw donkeys on holiday.

In terms of travel advice, the footballer said: "Just relax and remember what you're going on holiday for and how hard you've worked to get there."
