Whilst there are over 20 tennis professionals at the La Manga Tennis Centre, the Academy courses are very popular and it is essential that these are pre arranged as the courses are regularly fully booked.
The Tennis Centre is located right in the centre of La Manga Club and has an excellent array of outdoor courts and facilities, which makes it an extremely popular venue for players to learn the game or perfect their skills. There is a team of multilingual coaches, offering a variety of academy courses and private lessons to suit every standard of play, from beginners through to advanced.
The 10 hour academy runs for 2 hours each morning from Monday to Friday, all throughout the year. Guests enrolling on the course also receive a complimentary 5 day pass to the gymnasium at the Tennis Centre. Due to the popularity of the academies, we strongly recommend that you pre-book your place, especially during school holidays.
For players wanting to focus on specific aspects of their game, the standard academy can be extended to either 15 or 20 hours a week. The additional hour’s coaching each day can include either on-court video analysis of your technique, using the latest V1 digital coaching technology, or an hour’s tactical clinic.
New for 2010 is the Gold Academy, an intensive 5 day programme, including 5 hours’ coaching and match play per day from Monday to Friday. For players who are not able to attend a full week’s programme, La Manga Club have introduced a 10 hour Weekend Warriors Academy, from Friday to Sunday afternoon. This includes 6 hours’ coaching and 4 hours’ match play, providing the perfect opportunity to improve your game in just one intensive weekend.
A Welcome Meeting is held on Sunday afternoons at 4.00pm, to which everyone enrolled on the academy courses is invited to attend. This gives you the opportunity of meeting the Pros and your fellow players, prior to the course commencing on Monday. It includes free tennis and a glass of sangria.
A full programme of tournaments and social events is run by the Tennis Centre, which can be entered locally. Please check with Tennis Reception on arrival at La Manga Club.
These are 5 day group coaching courses for all ages and abilities, which run from Monday to Friday during school holidays. They offer 3 levels of intensity, covering all aspects of the game and make tuition fun and competitive.
New for 2010 is the Junior Mickey’s Academy, for the 9 and under age group, which has been created following the guidelines of the LTA and enables each child to develop naturally at their own pace.
The Tennis Centre runs a programme of junior tournaments, plus a BBQ and Quiz Night, which can be entered locally. Please check with Tennis Reception on arrival at La Manga Club.
A Welcome Day, offering free tennis and the opportunity to meet the Pros, is held on Sundays for everyone enrolled on the academy courses.

If you prefer not to do the full 5 day academy course, 45 minute individual lessons are available on weekday afternoons and at weekends.
It is also possible to hire a court by the hour, which can be pre-booked. **A weekly ticket is available at all times of the year, except in high season and during school holidays.
