Jack Nicklaus Golf Courses
You will have a choice of 4 great golf courses to play when you stay at La Torre Golf Resort. Each course has been individually designed by Jack Nicklaus and have been become an integral part of The Nicklaus Golf Trail. These courses offer some of Europes finest golf.
Guests can enjoy a round at any of the courses and a complimentary bus service operates from your accommodation to each golf course.
Jack Nicklaus has more than 240 golf courses to his name throughout the world and boasts 59 of the top 100 golf courses worldwide, according to numerous published rankings. After 25 years at the top of his game "Golden Bear" is now developing one of his biggest projects to date with the "Nicklaus Trail". The region of Murcia has 4 of these Nicklaus courses for you to savour and challenge your game. We are sure you will join the uniqueness of each.
La Torre Golf Course
A superb 18 hole par 68 course provides a dramatic panoramic setting, which includes 4 sets of golf tees and 3 large lakes that intertwine 6 of the holes. The course offers wide fairways and large elaborately sculptured bunkers. The course is challenging and the first tee is located only a few minutes walk from the luxury La Torre Hotel.
The golf course is beautifully manicured and maintained with lush landscaping. At 5400 metres the shorter length at La Torre Golf Club makes the course very playable for both average and high handicap golfers. Many of the holes offer wide fairways in a fantastic setting offering great views. La Torre Golf Course also encompasses a great deal of strategy play especially when played from the back tees.
La Torre Golf Club offers full practice facilities and a pro shop and is a must play course for all golfers on The Jack Nicklaus Golf Trail.
Mar Menor Golf Course
The Original golf course was designed by Dave Thomas and has been extended and improved to become one of the premier golf courses part of The Nicklaus Golf Trail. The Par 72 course is fairly forgiving with wide fairways and large bunkers.
The spectacular design ensures the course requires a wide variety of shots to overcome the changes in elevation, several artificial lakes and bunkers, all of which make for an excellent location for all levels of golfer. The first tee is located a few minutes walk from the luxury Mar Menor Hotel. There are full practice facilities including putting, chipping greens and an extensive driving range and pro shop. Clubs and buggies can be hired if required.
El Valle Golf Course
The El Valle Golf Course is located in a beautiful setting which is set in a natural desert valley. The Par 71 course has 4 tees with 2 lakes and streams running through the course makes it one of the Nicklaus Trails great challenges.
The course demands accuracy rather than length and favours the intelligent golfer who can manage their game. Many holes border other holes which creates a more open and natural feel to the course. El Valle features a large number of crowned greens bordered by very large grass chipping areas. This benefits golfers who have control of their short game.
El Valle takes full use of its desert like setting with many holes played alongside natural rock formations and ridges. The course is fully landscaped to take full advantage of its desert theme. This is a beautiful golf course and unique experience along the Nicklaus Golf Trail.
Hacienda de Requelme Golf Course
This a larger than average Par 72 golf course weaves it way between olive trees, wild flower meadows and 5 large lakes. Hacienda de Requelmes main feature is its very wide fairways allowing golfers plenty of room whilst planning each hole strategically. The large undulating greens offer a real challenge to any golfer. Many greens are broken into sections due to the strong elevation changes making it imperative for golfers to choose the correct section of the green to play and to give the best putting opportunity possible.
The unique bunkers at Requelme set this course apart from many other courses on the Nicklaus Trail and many of these distinctive bunkers are deep, up to 3 metres in places. Many of the features at Riquelme combine to give an older and very established feel to the golf course, which makes this one of the most unique stops along the Nicklaus Golf Trail.
Booking Your Tee Times
We would recommend that all tee times are pre booked when you confirm your reservation. If you have not already done so please request a booking form via the search facility on the top left of this page. This booking form will be emailed to you and include a golf schedule to request your desired golf courses and tee times.
If required we can also reserve your place on the complimentary bus service to transfer you to and from your accommodation and the different golf courses.
