 La Manga Strip in La Manga Murcia
La Manga Club Resort is within a 15 minute drive from the area known as La Manga del Mar Menor. The Mar Menor is a long strip of land which is affectionately known locally as La Manga Strip which has the calm La Manga del Mar Menor on one side and the Mediterranean Sea on the other. It is easy to find with directions clearly marked on the motorway to La Manga, if you follow signs to La Manga you will find yourself on La Manga Strip.
The calm water of La Manga del Mar Menor is ideal for swimming and for families with young children to spend a fun day on the beach. The Mediterranean side is wonderful for the stronger swimmer and at times suitable for surfing. From La Manga Clubs Activity Centre you can arrange an array of water sports which will primarily take place on the La Manga del Mar Menor strip and its surrounding beaches.
It takes at least 30 minutes to drive the length of the strip and all the way along you will find an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops to stop at. Parking is relatively easy all the way along this drive and you can park either side of the road known as La Manga Strip. The restaurant selection consists of many typically Spanish restaurants to pizzerias etc. The shops are very much for the holiday maker with gifts, souvenirs, ceramics and beachwear.
The holiday accommodation on the strip are predominately apartments which are Spanish owned and so it is a busy, lively place in the summer months of July and August when most of the Spaniards take their holidays. There is also plenty of nightlife until the early hours but is a safe and pleasant place to spend an evening walking along the beach with your family.
