How to Book Your Tennis Holiday at La Manga Club
The Tennis Centre at La Manga Club is generally considered to offer some of Europe’s finest tennis facilities. A number of important Davis and Federation Cup tennis tournaments have been held there and it is the winter training base for the Lawn Tennis Association. It is located in the centre of La Manga Club and gives you the opportunity to adapt or improve your game, or if you are a complete beginner, you can take advantage of the highly qualified, multilingual team of coaches to get you started. The 5 day academy courses run throughout the year from Monday to Friday and offer coaching for everyone, from 4 years old to adult.
Adult Tennis Academy
The adult course takes place during the morning and covers 2 hours a day of on-court coaching, including forehand and backhand, serve, service return, smash and volley. Real tennis enthusiasts have the option of extending their session by one hour each day, which allows detailed analysis of their strokes and match play tactics, using the La Manga Club state of the art video analysis system. This allows players to review their shot frame by frame in slow motion and to improve their technique under the expert guidance of one of the tennis Pros.
Please note, the 15 hour tennis academy does not run during school holidays and in high season.
Junior Academy
The junior courses are available for youngsters between the ages of 4 and 19 and are adapted especially to their needs, with a strong emphasis on competitive fun. The full programme runs during school holidays, with a smaller session offered at other times of the year and is suitable for all standards and abilities.
For players who have already reached a high standard, there is also a Pro-Academy course, which is a more intensive coaching session for youngsters who are already playing at county level. This is an intense tennis training camp which runs for either 3 or 5 hours a day and only players of a minimum standard will be accepted.
Private Tuition
If you prefer to receive coaching on a more personal level, 45 minute lessons are available during weekday afternoons and at weekends.
How to Book your tennis holiday at La Manga Club.
We strongly recommend that places in the academy and individual lessons are booked in advance, as there are only a limited number of places available and these are very quickly taken up. During school holidays, early pre-booking is essential, in order to avoid disappointment.
If you would like to book a place, send your request directly to the Tennis Centre by email to tennis@lamangaclub.com. Your place will be confirmed within a few days. If you are booking for the Junior Academy, you will need to give the ages of your children, to be sure they are placed in the correct group. Once the places have been confirmed, you will be asked for payment in full in order to guarantee them, for which all major credit cards are accepted. |
