How do I book the Football Coaching Academy at La Manga Club
The Football Coaching Academy at La Manga Club is suitable for children, both girls and boys aged up to 15. The La Manga Coaching Academy is open to both boys and girls and all ability levels. Coaching sessions are primarily designed to improve key footballing skills, however, the sessions are specifically fun orientated and stress the acquisition of social skills and confidence. This approach ensures that each child has a rich and rewarding experience, whilst learning and improving their footballing skills.
There is also the option to combine sport packages for those children wishing to participate in more than one academy in the same week. The academies run at different times so children can participate is as many different academies as they wish.
The 5 day Football Academy is held at the famous La Manga Club Football Centre and is available for boys and girls of all abilities, from the ages of 5 to 15. Each session is fun and will allow the children to improve their football skills and to play on the same pitches as used by many of the top European clubs for pre-season and winter training.
The academies run from Monday to Friday during school holidays and are taken by FA and UEFA qualified football professionals, many of whom have played and coached at club level. Each player who attends the full weekly course will be given a free Adidas football to take home. Daily sessions may be arranged locally, subject to availability.
There are 4 age groups: 6 & under (1 hour daily), 9 & under, 12 & under and 15 & under (all 1.5 hours daily). Each session usually starts with fun games, in order for the youngsters to get to know one other and their coaches. All aspects of the game are covered, depending upon the children’s age and ability, including dribbling skills, passing and ball control, shooting and attacking. The level of skills is adapted to each age group.
In addition to the academy courses, there is a Mini World Cup Tournament held each week from Monday to Saturday, which is available for children from 7 to 15 years. Each competition lasts for one and a half hours and is supervised by the La Manga Club football pros. Prizes are included. A reduced entry fee is available for these events for all who participate in the Football Academy.
Booking
As the Academies are extremely popular and there are only limited places available, pre-booking is essential in order that your child is not disappointed. In order to sign up for the Football Academy, please send your request by email to the Tennis Centre, tennis@lamangaclub.com, giving the name and age of your child, so that they are enrolled in the correct age group. All places have to be paid for in advance, for which major credit cards are accepted. A 10% discount is offered when two or more weeks are booked and, if your child is interested in taking part in the Tennis Academy in the same week, the Football Academy can be offered as part of a sports package. These are designed for the more energetic children and the academies are run at different times, so that they can do both if they wish.
Places in the Mini World Cup Competition cannot be reserved in advance and have to be arranged through the Tennis Centre on arrival at the Club.
