However the downside has been that areas have grown and have been developed as a result of these low cost airlines opening up routes into these otherwise unknown and sometimes remote areas and if the low cost airline decides to withdraw and no longer offer the route, then people who have bought holiday homes in the area now find it both difficult and more expensive to visit these areas.
The low cost airlines are much more nimble in their activity and are more likely to withdraw flight routes much quicker than the larger more established airlines.
