A trip to Ibiza is one of the most popular Spanish holidays chosen by holiday-goers as the island destination boasts fantastic nightlife and idyllic beaches. Flights are available to book from Jet2.com today. Ibiza might be most famously known for its summer parties, with thousands of people venturing to the island to dance away the warm Balearic nights.
However, eager travellers may find that fares for flights to Alicante or Murcia are also available with budget airlines. Jet2 claims it has come up with an ingenious way to encourage Brits to take more holidays in Spain and other sunny destinations.
The airline is sponsoring buskers across the country to ditch their usual playlist in favour of some feel-good summer songs.
In a recent poll carried out by Jet2, almost one in five people named Good Vibrations by the Beach Boys as the song most likely to get them in the mood for a holiday.
Richard Bodin, the airline's managing director, said Jet2 wanted to do its bit and inject some holiday spirit into the British public.
"The weather has been pretty bad so far this winter and there's a lot of general doom and gloom around, so we wanted to do something a bit different to get the public back into the holiday spirit," he commented.
Other top holiday songs include Club Tropicana, which claimed 11 per cent of the public vote and the Ricky Martin classic Livin' La Vida Loca.
In other news, Ryanair, which also offers flights to Spain, earlier this week announced that 20 of its planes have now been equipped with technology that enables passengers to make phone calls from the air. |
