Ferruccio Lamborghini started out building tractors under the name Lamborghini Trattori at the beginning of the short Lamborghini car hire history. Despite tractors being the initial sole purpose of Lamborghini, Ferruccio Lamborghini paths crossed with Enzo Ferrari at his factory when he went into complain about the clutch in his 250 Ferrari. Lamborghini never received any help from Ferrari on the problem, and was blamed as a driver over the car being at fault.
When Ferruccio returned to his Lamborghini car hire head quarters he dismantled his cars clutch in attempt to solve the problem, only to find that the clutch was built with the exact same transmission he used in his tractors. This is where the Lamborghini car hire transition began as his focuses went into competing with fellow Italian super car manufacturer Ferrari in creating a grand tourer, will would go on to be known as the 350 GT.
Lamborghini car hire 350 GT was the prototype that was designed and manufactured under Ferruccio Lamborghini’s new direction and vision of entering the super car market to complete with Ferrari, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Bentley and Audi. Housing Lamborghinis own 3.5 litre V12 engine under the bonnet gave 257bhp and accelerated from 0 to 60 in 6.8 seconds when it was produced in 1963. The 305GT had four wheel independent suspensions under an aluminium body helping make the Lamborghini car hire 350 GT a public success. This is where Ferrari stood up and took note that Lamborghini was a rival competitor that could match the performance of their own super cars.
Due to the cost of these cars to buy, not everyone will experience the power of a Lamborghini super car unless they go with Lamborghini car hire companies that rent out the cars for days and weekends. The early Lamborghini’s like the 400GT, the Miura and the Espada are classic Italian motor cars that laid the path for some of the top super cars sold with the Lambo badge today. All of which are collector items as they are an integral part of the Lamborghini car hire history time line.
1990 saw in the introduction of the Diablo, where as 2000 onwards the market had the Murcielago and the Gallardo, of which both are still in production today being popular amongst celebrities and footballers. There are companies that specialise in Lamborghini car hire to allow the average person to drive these cars in supervised track days, hired out as wedding cars or even rent out on a day to day basis.
In 2008 a 660bhp monster that would accelerate to 62 miles per hour from standstill in 3.4 seconds known as the Lamborghini Reventon was put into production. The car is the most powerful Lambo to ever been created, and the most expensive too. Arrantly only 20 of these new Lamborghini car hire automobiles were to be released to the public. |
